We are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent for our client in northern Virginia DC area. As a Superintendent, you’ll play a critical role in overseeing field operations and ensuring the successful completion of construction projects. You’ll lead a team of skilled laborers, manage project schedules, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: Provide direct supervision to field labor force, motivating and inspiring your team to achieve project goals.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations.
• Safety Management: Foster a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety inspections.
• Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating activities with subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Cost Control: Monitor project costs, including labor and materials, to ensure profitability.
• Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with project managers, estimators, and other team members to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction practices, techniques, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and construction management software.
• Bachelor’s Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent. May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one-to-one basis
• 8 years of industry experience
