We’re looking for a skilled Landscape Architect to provide technical support, Manage and oversee landscape architecture projects, contributing to the development of innovative, equitable, and sustainable parks and public spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review development projects and provide design recommendations.
- Coordinate with planners on development guidelines, park master planning, and private development review processes.
- Manage projects, consultants, and contracts.
- Develop scopes of work, schedules, conceptual plans, designs, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and track expenditures.
- Conduct site analysis, create diagrams, and graphics using software tools.
- Develop planting designs and strategies.
- Facilitate civic engagement processes.
- Attend evening/weekend meetings and deliver presentations.
- Lead and coordinate bidding and permitting processes.
- Oversee projects during construction administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Forestry, Urban Planning, or related field.
- Significant experience in landscape design and project management.
- Experience with urban park stormwater management facilities, development reviews, and computer programs (AutoCAD, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam).
- Experience designing urban parks, public spaces, recreation facilities, and playgrounds.
- Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) certification.
- Landscape Architecture License or Certified Arborist designation.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
