We’re looking for a skilled Construction Project Estimator Provide cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review RFP/RFQ documents and support RFI processes.
- Identify project risks and challenges.
- Assist in generating rough order of magnitude and formal estimates.
- Contribute to proposal development.
- Maintain a database of bid documents.
- Identify potential revenue opportunities.
- Coordinate with various teams within the company.
- Collect quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Review and assess cost estimates.
- Identify labor, material, costs, and time requirements. Â Â
- Prepare detailed cost estimate reports. Â Â
- Present reports to management.
- Conduct site visits and document data.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of construction estimating experience, with focus on mission critical systems.
- 2+ years of data center experience related to batteries, UPS replacements, and general maintenance.
- Ability to interpret contract terms and conditions.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience developing and justifying budgets.
- Ability to create and maintain project documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and meeting management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift up to 15-25 pounds.
- Willingness to travel within the VA, DC, MD area (up to 20%).
